The Bourne Conspiracy PS3 Demo Review
What I Liked:
1. Cinematic hand-to-hand combat is badass and awesome.
2. Firearm combat is similar to Uncharted.
3. Presentation is top-notch, and the voice acting is good.
4. Feels like you could be playing a Bourne movie.
5. Quick-time events work well here, but expect to have to retry sections a few times to get it right. Seems like checkpoints occur pretty often, so when you have to repeat one, you don’t have to redo too much to get back to where you were.
What I Didn’t Like:
1. The driving part was the worst part of the demo. It was the only part of the demo that didn’t really reflect the excitement of the Bourne movies. I hope there aren’t too many driving sequences in the final game.
2. Firearm combat also isn’t quite as exciting as the hand-to-hand combat, but it works.
3. The game will take a lot of trial and error to beat. Expect to have to do sections over a few times before you advance. Could potentially be pretty frustrating.
Yay: The game just feels really awesome. This game IS THE Bourne game. +1
Final BS Rating: +3 HARDCORE
Closing Statement: I’m anxious for the full game now. Based on the demo alone, I’m sure to be getting this game when it comes out. I like what I played for the most part. If you liked the Bourne movies, you owe it to yourself to check this game out. There’s no Matt Damon in the game, so depending on your point of view, that could be good or bad. If the game follows the books more closely than the movies, it’s probably a good thing he’s not in it, because the characters are a lot different.
